Essential Drug Fund –
Thanksgiving Matching Campaign of $25,000
This year has brought much to be thankful for within Future Vision Ministries. The construction of the Sunuzi Health Centre (SHC) has been filled with challenges, AND we have seen God’s faithful provision in so many ways. As the physical building neared completion, FVM revisited the arranged partnership with the Government outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding. In the intervening months, the Government experienced a change of leadership and with that came changes within local Ministry departments. The new directive was that we needed to totally hand the SHC to the government to manage, OR take a leap of faith and operate the Centre as a private clinic.

We cannot underestimate the blood, sweat, tears, and hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in this project: our dreams of a vibrant Under-5 Clinic, adding to the years of investment in primary care through the nutritional and nursery school programs; the maternity wing, fulfilling our original purpose of bringing life to thousands of women facing their childbearing years with the constant fear of death for them or their newborn child; the AIDS clinic providing hope where the lingering spectre of disease and death still haunts their memories; the eye clinic, pharmacy and lab all waiting to provide support and services that make life more livable in hard circumstances; the spiritual care area, where our hope in Jesus is shared; the foundation for everything.
Could we trust that government ministries would value it enough and have the funds available to continue the dream?
It was not an easy decision. Yet, despite our hesitation, each Board member had a sense of peace that we needed to pursue private ownership.
As a private facility under the auspices of Future Vision Ministries, all services, including consultations, procedures and pharmaceuticals, will be absolutely free to the 30,000 people in the Sunuzi area.
Donors have continued to step forward, and we are grateful beyond what words can express. If you are able to travel to Malawi and see the difference your donations have made, we urge you to embrace the adventure. It truly changes you forever.
With the decision to move to 100% private ownership, pharmaceuticals become essential for the success of the clinic. The health department will provide some basic medications when they are available, which they share with all clinics within each District. As you can imagine, we can’t depend on a consistent or adequate supply.
We are thrilled to share that we have received a generous donation of $25,000 to match all contributions during this Thanksgiving appeal! These contributions will establish the Essential Drug Fund.
We invite you to join in this exciting opportunity to reach our goal. Your investment can be doubled, and that is something truly to be thankful for!
Together, we can transform your collective donations of $25,000 into $50,000, bringing immense blessings to our Malawian family. Thank you for your continued support!

Joy brightens the future!
Zikomo kwambiri from the bottom of our hearts.
