We are pleased to be able to introduce you to a new Future Vision Ministries employee. This position is key to the health centre operating efficiently and in good repair, and is the first of its kind in Malawi.
The decision was unanimous that Gloria Kantikana be selected as the first Health Care Administrator for Sunuzi Health Centre. She is a Christian with many years of experience in healthcare. Gloria has a nursing degree and a Masters degree, and we believe she has excellent leadership skills and a strong track record with problem-solving and supply chain management.
Gloria was available due to funding changes that have caused many health programs to close. We are grateful that Gloria could start quickly, and she is keeping us busy with decisions for medical equipment, furniture and other requirements for the Health Centre to open.
SPIRITUAL OUTREACH
Spiritual outreach is a key part of FVM’s purpose. Here is a “throwback” of Newton and another speaker in 1999 at a one-week gospel outreach in the villages. She is with Jesus now, and no doubt has a clearer picture of how life-changing the investment in these outreaches is for eternity!
Through outreach events, Newton speaks to people of all ages. It is encouraging to see many youth attend, and we pray that lives are changed for Jesus and the impact is felt throughout Malawi.
SUNUZI HEALTH CENTRE UPDATE
Work continues on the Sunuzi Health Centre, with finishing details moving forward. We are grateful for Dennis, an engineering contractor who has been instrumental in this final phase. In the pictures below, you can see Newton inspecting windows, and Allan and Tiwonge with an impromptu on-site office. Everyone has been taking on extra tasks to make the Sunuzi Health Centre possible.

$20/month provides nutrition and teachers for a preschool child to attend FVM’s 8-month program. This is making an incredible difference in their start in life. There are also donation opportunities for tuition costs for students wanting to continue their education.
